The Bank Connector is a plug and play interface between a company’s cloud ERP or accounting system and its banks. Payment files can be sent from a company’s ERP system to many different banks. Bank statements are received from many different banks and are automatically uploaded to your ERP system.
The Payment Hub is a powerful solution for companies that need extensive bank connectivity for their ERP or accounting systems. Combined with a user-friendly portal that can be used to manually enter payments, manage flexible authorization workflows, receive and view bank account information (balances and transactions) and set alerts on several events.
The Treasury System has all functionality of the Payment Hub plus optional modules for efficient day-to-day treasury management such as liquidity forecasting, FX dealing and FX exposure management, in-house banking and cash pooling (balance optimisation).
Cobase can connect to almost 15.000 banks worldwide via SWIFT, H2H, EBICS and APIs. We have established more than 200+ bank connections for our clients in 80+ countries (and growing). Many different formats and protocols are supported. Clients can make use of the Cobase SWIFT BIC saving them time, money and providing them new capabilities.
Cobase has integrated APIs of many banks and other service providers such as FX providers, payment service providers and market data providers. Their services are neatly integrated into the platform and are also offered via one single API for corporates who wish to integrate their ERP or other source systems. This means only one API needs to be integrated by corporates to get access to many different banks and other service providers. If banks do not yet have a suitable API for corporates then Cobase connects with more traditional methods and we will switch once APIs are available. Cobase is licensed by the Dutch Central Bank as a PSD2 payment service provider. This ensures corporates can grasp the benefits of the upcoming Open Banking revolution to the full extent.
As Cobase, we want to make it easy to use our services. Not only in terms of the platform services we provide but also for the way in which we implement these services.
When connecting to a bank the two most complex activities clients typically face are :
- Implementing connections to all of their banks that cover the required project scope;
- Connecting to all ERP’s and other relevant systems which may impact their day to day treasury or cash management activities.
The Cobase approach and experience make these activities easy in two main ways
If you have performed implementations to integrate with banks, you may know that different standards (e.g. differences in the ISO XML formats, differences in connectivity protocols) are often required, which may well result in an individual technology project per bank.
Cobase provides and centralizes these bank connections for you. If we do not yet have the connection, the Cobase team will work with the bank's implementation team to establish it.
Our specialized team has built integrations with many banks and has all the tools to do this effectively for the different bank protocols. The only thing you have to do is introduce Cobase to your bank and sign the relevant documentation.
Connecting ERP and source systems
Cobase has experience in connecting to a wide range of systems. Cobase can take care of the required data transformation, thereby ensuring changes on your side will be limited. If you use cloud based ERP’s, we even have dedicated API connections established to some of these systems. This ensures that the IT effort on your side will be minimal.
Still, when you implement many banks via Cobase, it can be difficult to decide the best phasing of a project or lose oversight. Cobase will therefore assign a dedicated project manager who will design an implementation plan covering the full scope of the project and agreed timelines, and will act as a single point of contact. Though the Cobase platform is very intuitive, your implementation manager will be happy to facilitate any platform training that is required for your employees.
